Welcome to GNMD - Group of New Materials and Devices!

Our group conducts research on obtaining and properties of new materials and its application on semiconductor  devices, MEMS and MOEMS, integrated optics, Microfluidicsand biosensors. These new materials are thin alloys obtained by "Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition" (PECVD)  and  "Sputtering" techniques  and Nanostructered Materials (like TiO2 nanotubes and Single and Multi Wall Carbon Nanotubes) obtained by techniques as Anodic Oxidation (TiO2 nanotubes) and Atmospheric Pressure CVD (SW and MW Carbon Nanotubes).

So, our  activities involve studies on the physics of these new materials and the development of electro and opto-electronic devices based on these materials.  The group is headquartered in the Laboratory of Microelectronics (LME) at Department of Electronic Systems Engineering (PSI), at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo.
